No matter what, the right will always, without fail, find a bad faith reading to everything we do. I say leave the stories as they are and call right wingers out on their BS. This is part of the mind and word games they play to disarm us rhetorically, Republicans are nothing if not expert Sophists.
There's this trend of wanting stories to Unambiguously Convey The Right Message out of a fear they might attract bad faith readings, but I think they should probably also fear good faith readings by people with something to prove

It’s time for Congress to reign in the Mad King. These tariffs haven’t even hit for real and the world is off the rails.
Politically, it’s helpful to Dems, but this is why I’m not a good politician b/c I care too deeply about the harm on all people, even on those that hate my very existence.

Last night, every Senate Democrat voted for my amendment calling for a $17 an hour federal minimum wage while every Republican but 1 opposed it. The movement to raise the minimum wage to a living wage is growing.
