it's pretty sick on a 16:9 crt as well. hunted down a sony kv-16wt1 since its a widescreen 15khz set at only 16 inches a few years ago for stuff like this. its small as fuck and i think PAL only sadly

basically you get a usb hub and shit that into a rp2040 running www.remapper.org set it up so it runs as a switch controller then shit the usb of that rp2040 into another rp2040 running github.com/wiredopposit... so it converts it into xinput. enjoy my ghetto protoboard which only exists as a mount.

I was thinking of using those crimp ring terminals, use the hole with the rivet and have the crimping part be where you solder stuff to. Maybe not as good looking but for sure the least expensive way lol

Yeah with rivets would be the way to do it. Personally I really need one of those 90 degree bent lugs so I can mount it by soldering directly to the chassis of the thing I'm repairing. Especially handy when doing those canned capacitors you'd have in old tube devices.
