As someone who actively works in politics and has done so for a minute, I think the public generally lacks the knowledge that most politicians and especially guys like Gavin are total morons. Like in regard to national politics or identifying ideological trends they are sub your average voter

There’s remarkably little data on the efficacy of political outreach texts, and no evidence of them discouraging voters. Regarding fundraising texts, they are a pretty ok source of revenue on the aggregate, and don’t seem to impact voter opinions. Most ppl are not that fickle on the issues

-risk getting name dropped by Trump/Musk to an audience of extremely aggressive people who literally tried to kill them all at once 4 years ago at the direction of Trump who has since freed those people. At risk of humanizing these clowns, in some sense they are literally being held at gunpoint.

I’m sorry this is silly, the Times editorial team put a full page out saying Trump is a threat to democracy, and routinely occupied the editorial page on the run up to the election with articles on how dangerous he was to democracy. It is a ridiculous to suggest that the times is responsible for him

and it’s not even that complicated of a pattern!!!
