i don't like this pose, but this is sort of a benchmark test of how close i am to drawing what i want. the mood is kind of close even if the background isn't detailed, but there are a *lot* of things to work on and practice. it's getting there

new set of drawpile sketches while i continue to chip away at anything else. i should NOT be doing comic hatching under any circumstances, but it does look cool

thinking about redoing the pngtuber i made a year and a half ago that developed into my self insert ghost. i kinda miss the semi-gothic look of the old one even if it's maybe not *accurate*, but it's not like i look like the other one either. i'll keep figuring it out

i haven't actually got my test results back yet, but being covered in electrodes made me wonder about this sort of thing. maybe they'll find neon diver or cotv spoilers in my thoughts.

haven’t drawn much lately outside of the drawpiles, so here’s the latest ones of those. i wish it didn’t take all day to do these, but it’s nice to just doodle and remember how to draw

haven't drawn much lately so i've been trying to fix that by doodling whichever touhou character is related to the heardle that day (plus kutaka, i just wanted to study that chibi head look). i haven't figured out how to make the practice fun yet, but it's a start

the touhou popularity poll is still going, so i wanted to draw raiko quickly before it finished. night scenes are a lot of fun, hopefully someday i can really get good at drawing them.

and it's done! these autobiographical comics always tend to finish on a dour note, so i specifically made an effort to not do that this time. it was close though(4/4)

this stretch didn't actually have many difficulties so there's some filler from here on. by the way, my blood sugar was normal since then, until today when it's Doing That again (3/4)

i did make an attempt to do traditional art attacks but it just wasn't working. really feel like i should use my sketchbook more though (2/4)

usually i wrap up artfight with an overview of which characters got attacked how much, but this year was so hectic i'm making a comic about the experience instead (1/4)

after maybe a year of on and off attempts and studying i've finally managed to clear the perfect cherry blossom extra stage! it was a lot of fun and i'm looking forward to the phantasm versions of all of this #touhou

chipping away at some of these final graphics until they're "good enough" and it seems to be going ok? still a lot of adjustments to make but the mood is getting there, which is what really matters.
