The other night I was setting up to image M42 and could not get my guide camera and new off axis guider to pick up stars. Once I got it adjusted I realized it was a little too early in the evening to start shooting. Behold my neighbors roof!

Worked on my narrowband processing as well as imaged and old friend over the break. Here we got the Heart, Eagle and Elephant Trunk Nebulas in the SHO palette. The Witch Head Nebula, an old favorite, located near Rigel rounds out this set. #astrophotography #photography #space

Christmas may be over but I got a Christmas Tree in the sky for you to enjoy. The Christmas Tree Nebula (yes that is the real name) and the Cone Nebula in the SHO palette. This nebula is located in the Monoceros constellation 2300 light years from Earth. #astrophotography #photography

Christmas may be over but I got a Christmas Tree in the sky for you to enjoy. The Christmas Tree Nebula (yes that is the real name) and the Cone Nebula in the SHO palette. This nebula is located in the Monoceros constellation 2300 light years from Earth. #astrophotography #photography
The Horsehead and Flame Nebulas in the SHO Hubble Palette. The SHO stands for Sulfur Hydrogen Oxygen which are assigned to the red, green and blue channels respectively. I shot this over two nights with about 18 hours of imaging. #photography #astrophotography

Our horse Whistle did her hunter jump debut at Desert Classic and did great! She could have easily competed at a higher level, but we kept it low to see how she handled it.
