A shot after an offensive rebound is more effective than one after a change of possession.

🔹 How to improve offensive rebounding?
📍 Use a triangle setup for better positioning.
📍 Attack the boards with three players—the most efficient strategy.

🔹 Shot distance affects where the rebound will land:
✅ Close-range shots → Near the rim and on the shooter’s side.
✅ Mid-range shots → It depends on the shot angle.
✅ Long-range shots → A long rebound, often on the opposite side.
🔹 Offensive rebounds = more points and more free throws

🏀 Small changes = big improvements.
CLA-based training helps players develop a shot that adapts to any game situation.

💬 Do you still use traditional spot-up shooting drills, or have you made the switch to CLA-based training? 🚀

4/ You don’t need complex setups to apply CLA to shooting. Small tweaks can make drills more game-relevant:

✅ Have a defender close out on every shot
✅ Vary pass location to force footwork adjustments
✅ Add time pressure (e.g., must shoot within 2 seconds)

Instead of mindless reps, players learn to adapt to different constraints:

🔹 Shooting with a defender closing out
🔹 Adjusting footwork based on pass location
🔹 Reading defensive rotations before taking the shot

This develops a more resilient and adaptable shot 🏀

The solution? CLA-based shooting training. 🔄
This approach introduces variability, decision-making, and defensive pressure to simulate real in-game conditions.

Why does this work?
🔥 Simulates real-game shooting under pressure.
🔥 Improves quick decision-making and shot selection..
🔥 Develops rebounding toughness.

If you want game-ready shooters, this is a must-try drill! 🚀🏀

🔹 Drill: "3v3 Shooting Battle" 🔹
✅ 2 teams of 3 (2 shooters + 1 rebounder).
✅ Shooters rotate after every shot.
✅ Rebounders contest shots to add defensive pressure.
✅ Players can dribble & pass to find better shots but they need to be out of the 3-point line.
✅ First team to make 5 threes wins.

Rules:

Dribble, pass, and shoot—but no catches inside the 3-point line!
Rotate roles so everyone plays defense twice.
Perfect for having an high energy task with a lot of shots and quick decissions. 💪
