People often confuse neurodiversity and neurodivergent. Thanks to Glynn Masterman for the clear visual!

Neurodiversity = a mix of different brain types.

Neurotypical = common thinking patterns

Neurodivergent = different from the norm thinking (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, dyspraxic etc).

Many neurodivergent people don’t disclose at work—often due to stigma. A 2025 study argues support shouldn’t depend on disclosure. Too often the label is seen before the talent, leading to masking and missed potential.

Inclusion should be the default.
