Or could it be that you’re finishing each of these meals not because you’re actually hungry for all of it, but because finishing your food has become a habit?

And I should add, if I decide to have a second cookie one day, that’s okay too. I’m just working on being more mindful of my choices with a dozen cookies in the house because *I* have control over my body— not them.

I’m not trying to set strict rules or deny myself pleasures. I’m just changing how I enjoy them. I’m prioritizing quality over quantity — savoring the cookie I eat as much as possible, instead of needing 5 or 6 to satisfy my tastebuds.

Back in the day, those cookies wouldn’t have stood a chance—I’d have finished several in one sitting. But I’ve learned to find greater joy in taking my time, making each cookie a special part of my day.
