Just a thought.

Why is there so little focus on reducing energy demand?

We know that it's possible to build truly energy efficient homes.

What stands in the way of replacing the UK's housing stock with new homes?

Us.

Still, in the face of such costs, no one wants to talk about building truly energy efficient homes to reduce energy demand, & buy us some wriggle room?

Here in the UK, climate doom seems alive & well.

Despite reducing a homes C0² emissions by 97.5%, here on Bluesky, there is scant interest in how.

Why are the turbines located in a hostile environment?

Sealife has not caused Climate Change, we have.

Is it human arrogance that we disturb another environment, while saying we should not despoil (OUR) Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty ?
July 29, 2025 at 4:17 AM
Seriously? More rights?

The UK is already legally bound to reduce Climate Change.

It just chooses to ignore it.

As much as we would like to, it's becoming harder to believe anything the CCC says.

Despite only 2% of new builds gaining an A rating, the CCC claim residential emissions are down from 76MtC0₂ to 52.2MtC0₂.

Despite the ONS estimating the emissions at 487MtC0₂.

Carbon Budget?, wishful thinking!

Lunacy.

What of the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island?

What of the supply chain emissions?

Accenture reports supply chains account for around 60% of C0₂ emissions globally.
Business in the Community state " On average, supply chain GHG emissions are 5.5x⁴ greater than those of a company's direct emissions".

Why would he do that?

What do we choose to do with all our rights?

Are we adolescence screaming "your'e not the boss of me!" at Mother Nature?

Who are we to tell family & friends they have one real purpose, when they are dealing with life?

Who is to be trusted to navigate us?

In 2004 the New Labour Govt. passed the Energy Act, which enabled the Crown Estate to claim a share of the revenue from offshore wind & wave electricity.

In 2008, it extended this to gas & C0₂ storage.

Follow the money??

The Welsh Parliament (Senedd Cymru) states;

The Crown Estates marine portfolio in Wales has increased significantly from £49.2m in 2020, to £603m in 2022.

This is a result of the Offshore Wind Leasing rd 4 - 25% of the Crown Estates profit is given to the Royal Family ??

Not sure if we are right about this?

But, when it comes to our Environmental Crisis, people do not seem as passionate about Mother Natures rights as our Human Rights?
July 22, 2025 at 4:08 AM
Unity would help.

The Climate knows nothing about our self awarded Human Rights.

We have to ask who is surprised?

UK politicians & the f/f industry set a target for some point in the future.

Then it's business as usual until that date approaches.

Then announce that the ambition is unattainable in the remaining time.

Failing that, just lie & invade somewhere.
July 20, 2025 at 5:22 AM
But, do the Climate Change Committee also believe that if your auntie had balls, she would be your uncle?
July 20, 2025 at 5:09 AM
Currently there are no commercial applications of CCUS in the UK.

The published ambition of 10mtC0₂ p.y, per cluster would require 18 clusters by 2050 to reach net zero targets.

UK home emissions by 2050 = 4,200mtC0₂?

180mtC0₂ per year represents 4.28% of home emissions over 25 years.

Today in Heaven, a suit waits at the gate.
St. Peter " You're not on the list"
Suit " But last week I gave a £1m to charity?'
St. Peter " Wait here, I will see what He says"

St.Peter returns.

" He said here's your £1m, now piss off!"

Is trickle down economics like rain ?

It falls on the many, swelling the becks & streams.

But, eventually it is held by the sea, while the land returns to drought.

If they survey us & we put the economy before the environment, then they follow our lead.

Problem is.
