I think he instinctively put his hand up and either scratched his own ear or it was a con job. Either way it explains why no facts were made public and his ear shows not one iota of any scar or damage.

I agree... I think he used a blood capsule. That said, if this had really happened, he'd still be posting about it... He would have milked it for all it was worth... He would not let it pass so easily.
