I play (and sometimes speedrun) video games, and sometimes cover their music.

See links and stream projects at cney.stream! (The site is 100% self-coded; I am a web developer by day.)
Bsky's T&S team does not consider "eat the rich" to be a constructive purpose, and only cares about "disrespectful" as perceived by the ruling class, so make sure this filter is turned off under Settings > Moderation > Bluesky Moderation Service ("service" seems like quite a stretch, doesn't it)

Holy crap, YouTube actually gave a heads-up about automatically opting people into their auto-dubbing slop feature.

It's still not as good as defaulting to off and making it a voluntary opt-in, but in 2025 where everything is forcing slop everywhere, it's something.

You know what else makes a big difference? Not rushing to de-list your demo that you literally just updated for #SteamNextFest the moment you release, as if you have something to hide. (I do at least understand disabling its multiplayer component though.)

I do appreciate the heads-up though.

Go figure I get the Zakesta-Z vZogen Steam leaderboard WR while recovering from my sinuses being a trainwreck

Oh look Twitch added a new extremely basic feature that YouTube has had for years... so of course they're gatekeeping it.

(Also seriously you can go into the channel's videos and rewind the current stream anyway, unless the streamer unlists vods by default)

Suggested improvement to Steam's UI

Me last Sunday: "wow the original Serious Sam TFE seems way more interesting than HD was, guess I'll have to get the second one, hope there's a sale soon"

GOG 2 days later: "hold my kleer"

Soooo I was kind of hyped that Stellar Blade might be playable in this #SteamNextFest event, buuuuuuuut no, it's effectively not.

That's a Denuvo notice. SPECIFICALLY ON THE DEMO'S PAGE. What brainiac decides that a demo needs Denuvo? Thanks for the warning though, I'll check back in 5 years.

This seems good when attempting to test a game demo, right? UE5 strikes again.

Welp. Gotta wonder how many people got enticed into switching their Patreon to subscription billing because of this (and IIRC you can't switch back).

Can't entirely blame Patreon, given the amount of coercion Apple was exerting. Kind of a case of Everyone Sucks Here.

Mission accomplished: Super EDF in sub-22. (Close to 21:59.20, I always split late)

So yeah I kinda forgot about this line in Ys: The Oath in Felghana

I sure picked a year to play The Catacomb. (Reminder: this came out in the very early 90s.)

Made good initial progress towards a delete-videos-you-don't-want-to-keep bookmarklet. Out of curiosity, selected all of my any% runs to see how much that already adds up.

I am not a frequent speedrunner. This does not include 100% runs, or 1CCs. 100 hours _still_ isn't going to be enough.

Seems like I made the right choice at the right time to jump back into a game that likes to talk about being in hell

If you're looking to correct forgetting to add alt text, how about preventing forgetting to add it in the first place?

TIL Halo 2 has a Breaking Benjamin song in it for one particular arena for some absurd reason, sticking out from the rest of the soundtrack like a sore thumb

Thanks, I hate it

Mission accomplished, back to our regularly-scheduled actually-progressing-in-the-video-game at 8PM ET

This scares me because I have a TODO list of clips to go back and capture and I'm bad at keeping up, so the backlog has hit 3 digits.

(At one point I was considering putting together a random clip show for breaks; otherwise this is arguably wasted effort because clip discoverability is ???)

Daioh comes to mind. (Screenshotted from cohost.org/gosokkyu/pos... on cohost which is shutting down at end of year)

I'll take your celebratory cat and raise you some celebratory cat gift paper that I just received something in today, was definitely the uplifting thing I needed today of all days

Steam's "relevance" logic never ceases to disappoint. I see this on the store page for Ys X.

I have half a dozen Ys games in my Steam library with nearly 400 hours logged across all of them. How fucking incompetent can they be?

Machine learning was a mistake

lol wut, is this because I was actually trying to delete my tweets? (This was probably due to the github repo I tried yesterday that didn't work anyway)

Have to figure this might also happen when I actually get around to implementing my delete bookmarklet hopefully tomorrow lol

OK, so something utterly ridiculous happened to me in Prodeus last night. These are 3 _consecutive_ gameplay frames, where a sniper manages to instantaneously change its mind and pivot 135 degrees.

It has become very apparent when looking at Next Fest demo games that... apparently demos can now be reviewed. Which is going about as well as you might expect (that is to say, reviews are even more meaningless and spammy now)
