It's walking that middle ground between making sure they fit into one ideological camp while expressing normal human sadness about people being deleted.

Well, Phoenix Online Studios had taken up development of a sequel in the game series a while ago - "The Silver Lining". I could see them redeveloping the original games if they could get the licensing and publisher permissions cleared.

I'm cautiously wondering what the response from the rest of the globe will look like. I hope they treat us with the understanding and patience of a wise parent reacting to the idiotic ramblings of an awkward teen, but I wouldn't blame them for not doing so.

The challenge I had is that they dump you right into a major event at the start of the game and you have little context. I get that this is an expository device they were going for, but it made me think I somehow skipped an hour-long cinematic opening. Didn't grab me upfront.
