Thank you @dcattorneygeneral.bsky.social for securing this important win for workers—including workers who helped construct The Appleton, an affordable housing community for seniors in Petworth—who had been deprived of the wages they were legally owed.

That sounds incredibly frustrating and shouldn't be happening. Thank you so much for flagging, and our office will follow up with the agencies on this. Is there a certain time of day when you see this typically occurring?

Thanks to this legislation, Porchfest hosts will face fewer obstacles hosting this spring.

Thank you to all my colleagues who voted for this important bill!

@freedcproject.bsky.social has a great list of local small businesses that support our communities and a free DC, like Ward 4's @loyaltybooks.bsky.social @merrypindc.bsky.social, @bigbadwoofdc.bsky.social
Where to Shop — Free DC

Here's a link where you can check out more about the program -- and toward the bottom of the page, you can expand the section called "Locations for 24/7 Food Waste Smart Bins and Weekend Drop-off Events" to find locations by ward!
Food Waste Drop-Off
District residents now have multiple options for dropping off their food waste for composting in all eight wards: Staffed Drop-off Locations and Food Waste Smart Bins.
