I joined Blair HS students to learn how to be a @montgomeryparks.bsky.social Weed Warrior, cutting off invasive vines at the roots to save our trees! Volunteers work year-round to remove invasive plants from our parks. Without them, our county would look very different!

Giving Know Your Rights info to residents & shops is one way to help ensure everyone — regardless of immigration status — knows their rights (& their neighbors’ & coworkers’) with immigration enforcement.

I’m so grateful to community members (Project SAFE, Muslim Community Center, ISWA, Enclave Tenant Assn.), County HHS/SEPH staff, and members of my team working to keep families safe.

The fact that Black students and community members had to advocate for years for anti-Black racism to be taken seriously at Wootton HS is disgraceful.

This moment must serve as a call to action.
