Questioning affiliates has always been around because in the end: Viewers cannot know what's in your contract. In recent times, stories of NVIDIA being manipulative or sponsors like Honey have only increased wary in all partnered CCs everywhere.

Bit of an update on the NSP thanks to Canonn. The Gourd Mollusc appears to have moved half across the system to another planet. It also has now different colored metallic crystals...
Not completely missing but certainly odd behavior.

This specific one:
Codex entry for the Rufum Gourd Mollusc: HIP 98182.
HIP 98182: Has no molluscs or NSPs anymore.

I do know not to trust the Codex for most of the original planetbased bios (like Sinous Tubers, Bark Mounds, even fumaroles). Space anomalies/NSPs seemed mostly trustworthy so far...

Guess I'll leave replies open but I'm probably gonna wait to see what the unannounced new update later this year is, hoping it can restore some hope that a few things might see a fix. The fleet carrier 2.0 unlikely will.

Honestly, I'm so tired of it.
I want to play again, I miss my spaceship, I miss exploring, I miss Elite.
It's not like I don't know where to check if the next system is broken but why... why do I have to check everything?
For all know my exploration experience might be actually better in Legacy lol

I don't care about new exploration content - I just do not want more bugs or errors which retire in the expired section of the issue tracker to be forgotten until another explorer stumbles upon them, realizing it's a 4 year old issue and having one option: to just deal with it.

I'm sorry I'm not interested in building stations or fighting in PowerPlay. I just want to continue to enjoy the *deep space* part of this *space* game. Preferably without finding another more or less broken thing every other update which has basically no hope of getting fixed.

Things like this were exactly one the reasons why I took that break. The combined amount of exploration related bugs and annoyances had reached a threshold for me I couldn't pretend anymore to be fine with.

I knew nothing had changed in exploration in those months but I wanted to play again.

If you got spoiled don't worry too much: It's one of those games, no matter how much you know, you'll still have a great time. I only played it 2023/24 after having watched multiple Let's Plays (yeah, before streaming!). Still had a fantastic experience.

Nothing but bugged Ice Crystals. Unfortunately - because I find them very pretty. So many pointy bits!
Stumbled upon some last year too but if I had to guess they've been around for much longer - seeing as NSPs and the rest hasn't been touched in years.

Something Elite related to this: used Firefox with script/adblockers for ages (now Librewolf). With time, Frontier sites became barely usable, even with disabled add-ons. Login not working/looping. Issue tracker not showing UI elements. EDMC authorization not redirecting.

That's both good and horrible to know! Good because I have visited only 4 or 5 - all of which were Class 3 apparently... - and horrible because I can now never finish your Codex Overview Bingo sheet thingy because there's zero chance I find new ones for all other classes! 🤣
