Someone found a typo in a small lib of mine on GitHub. Instead of just fixing it, rolling their eyes and moving on, or any other option, they decided to open an issue with a screenshot of that single line and the text “wtf bro”.

I can’t fathom why that seemed like a good use of time to them 🙃

How absolutely desperate is @microsoft.com @microsoft365.microsoft.com to sell their AI mess? Well; today they emailed (spammed) a mailbox we use exclusively for our support ticket software. So I *know* that email didn’t sign up for any lists, and yet we get spammed anyways. Absolutely pathetic.

dear c/c++ programmers who are smarter than me: is there any guidance as to when and why gcc will pick a function marked "weak" over one that isn't, and why that choice seems to have changed between versions? godbolt.org/z/doPsq8hhz

Hosts seem to have no problem reading from the device, and at least at one point last week, I was able to write to the device, as evidenced by the mtime (see photo)

Since then, I've been unable to get a host to mount the disk as anything besides "read only". I feel like maybe it's something in ...

a FAT12/16 file system. The MSC interface initially presents with no media present, and then later reports the media is available when the flash is ready. Before reporting media is present, windows doesn't show "read only" on the disk (tho diskpart still shows it as "Current Read-only: Yes". ...

Any of y'all have experience doing USB MSC? I've got it to work a few times (enough to write some test files), but no matter what I tweak my "disk" keeps showing up as read only! I've spent days on this and am losing my mind.
