As a high school English teacher for 10 years, this makes me want to tear my hair out.

I do quite like it, but the cinematography or DP or something doesn’t feel like Dune. The acting, writing, sound, sets, seem pretty cohesive with the Dune world, but it doesn’t quite look right.

She’s my favorite so far! Would love her up against Cynthia, Florence, Zendaya. But I wish they would consider more genre performances like Naomi Scott (Smile 2) or Lupita Nyongo (A Quiet Place) or Anya Taylor Joy (Furiosa).

I hate that she’s going but I get why she wouldn’t want to put up with their crap. Icing her out like this is so unprofessional.

Why are places like Crooked not inviting new/upcoming creators in for training and seed money and sowing the next generation? Like how @hankgreen.bsky.social did with their creators fund?

Dems have to start “yes, and…” the voters. People respond to “you’re right to be worried about ___, here’s a solution”. We have to validate then give possible solutions once they feel heard. Genuinely treat the American people like an angry teenager.

Samsung, Apple, Google, anybody. For the love of god from a high school teacher, we have to redevelop kids’ attention spans and dopamine addiction.

Don’t know about bouldering, but def go to El Chilito for breakfast tacos!

Show Americans what progressive compassion and policies look like in their everyday lives. Send them to a nail tech, stay at home mom, day laborer, factory worker. Go through the day, grocery shop with them, get gas, and talk/listen to their concerns. @jonlovett.bsky.social @aoc.bsky.social
