Dems need to run with this! The messaging should be that Trump's actions (tariffs) directly made things more expensive for AMERICANS.

Look, say what you will about President Trump, but did Joe Biden ever rake in $1 trillion in tariff revenue over the course of 9.5 hours? No, only "President Deals" can wear that crown. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

One of the only times I respect the framing of a NYT article headline.

This is nonsense. Joe is taking one page out of 92 pages of milquetoast liberal ideology and pretending that it's emblematic of the document as a whole. Half of the platform is about preserving the healthcare status quo, investing in border security, beefing up the military, and supporting Israel.

Game alert: I believe, on a blank map of the United States, I could correctly guess at least 75 of the 100 US Senators by their state without any external help--aside from the state name on the map. Anyone want to take a shot in the dark how many I'll get? Why not try this yourself and share!

Ending the filibuster and packing the courts both ran into the same demise with Democrats under Biden: "if we do it, Republicans will then do it when they're in power." Well, as everyone on earth could have predicted, they're doing it anyway. The old guard--those that follow "decorum"--needs to go.

Mark my words. On November 1st, SNAP payments are set to not go out. On November 3rd, Trump will order Rollins to release the SNAP contingency funds, and this webpage will read something like "despite the nasty Democrats who want Americans to go hungry, Donald J. Trump has saved SNAP!"

Wow. Also, the story fails to note that Michigan legislators receive mileage and a $10,800 annual session expense allowance.

Wow. The federal government has been shut down for five hours. They move fast.

It is journalistic malpractice on the part of the New York Times to not answer three questions within this article. 1) What kind of chips were they? 2) Did the journalist eat the chips? 3) Were they good? Just another reason I cancelled my subscription.

Just a reminder that tariffs are a domestic tax--they are paid for by US consumers. Nothing is "flowing into the United States"; you're going to be paying more for groceries, electronics, cars, homes, etc. here in the good old USA. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER!

1/2 It's a pretty typical political move to intentionally miss a contentious vote so you can a) tell one constituency that you didn't vote for it while simultaneously b) telling another constituency that you would've supported it.
