To charge your e-bike, you have to check several apps to find the right bank! 🚲🔋

Simple barriers turn people away from bikes—Let’s fix that!

Today the Transportation Committee is hearing my bill INT115. Int115 would create 1 comprehensive app mapping e-bike charging stations.

Today, I’m celebrating @thenyic’s launch of the New York Proud campaign, a public art project that’s working to uplift immigrant voices in our city.

Why are the number of vacant units in NYCHA rising? I spoke with @abc7.bsky.social to provide an update since they last reported on the issue in ‘23.

I sponsored Int 111 to make data on vacancies publicly accessible & transparent. During a housing crisis, we must hold agencies accountable

EDC has failed to address the concerns of my community, so yesterday, I was prepared to vote against the proposed BMT plan. With this postponement, I remain prepared to engage with our community members to address ongoing concerns.

I’m with @thenyic.bsky.social and @jfrejnyc.bsky.social observing immigration court. The more people engaging in these public processes to share information with New Yorkers lacking representation, the safer our neighbors will be.

We can't continue to allow ICE to come into our city and inflict violence on our friends, neighbors, and even elected citywide officials. We demand that ICE release Brad Lander. And I urge you to make sure that YOUR elected representatives are paying attention & speaking out NOW.

Today, the City Council is holding a Public Housing hearing seeking transparency on vacancies and transfers throughout NYCHA. Our current system desperately needs change. It is heartbreaking to see my constituents facing violence struggle with delays on transfers.

Every working New Yorker is under threat from mass deportation policy. If you think this fight isn’t yours, you’re wrong. Educate your community, support your neighbors. We protect us, we are stronger together, and we will never welcome ICE into our city.

I had a lovely visit to see my friends at Marien Heim older adult center in Sunset Park. It’s great to have close partnerships with the vibrant older adult centers in our district. I’m always fighting to protect the services that keep our community healthy and safe!

Then, I joined FIAO Il Centro at their Senior Prom, which I was proud to cosponsor. We celebrated the amazing 30+ classes and fitness opportunities offered at the center for older adults in Dyker Heights and beyond!

And let me tell you, our FIAO crowd really know how to party!

This morning, I went from Sunset Park to Dyker Heights, stopping 1st at PS24 to see Arts Connection students perform a piece from their Puppet workshop!

In schools that serve students from diverse language backgrounds, arts education is a crucial way to bridge the gap.

Today, I introduced Res 870 alongside Council Members De La Rosa and Joseph to call on the DOE to establish a Labor History Month in public schools. NYC's students must be taught their rights as future workers and the hard-fought struggles labor unions waged to win those protections.
