Whenever we need a break from the dismal news cycle all we need to do is look at this beautiful little girl's face. Riley is the calm in the ongoing storm and an invaluable therapy dog. #BerneseMountainDogs are just the best. ❤️

And this is what Idaho -- and our country -- has become. I'm a retired music teacher currently living in Idaho and I'm only thankful my time is over. My heart goes out to the hardworking and underpaid teachers out there who have to put up with this.

This is so disappointing to say the least. Our small North Idaho community has little in the way of shopping -- our entire downtown business district was taken over by a local Christian Nationalist cult -- so our local Target was the "safe" place to spend our money. Not anymore, Target. Not anymore.

So someone tried to hack into my Facebook account last night so I posted that I will be temporarily deactivating it. I tried to include my Bluesky account info so people can still reach me and FB removed the post. Twice. 😡
