Food, buildings and idiosyncratic left opinions. Mostly harmless.
He/him. East London gay.
Dysgwr Cymraeg.
Even manufacturers of photographic lighting - selling to actual photographers and videographers - are using AI images on their sales materials.

Their customers must love this!

Mitsubishi really do make everything, don’t they.

Air conditioners, SUVs, pencils.
All those pills back in the day.

Tonight’s charity shop DVD is Guys and Dolls.

It’s rather odd.

Products now are relatively cheap and absolutely hideous.

Like you can buy a new iron for £22 but it’s the vilest collision of tortured swoops you’ve seen in your life.
November 9, 2025 at 6:13 PM
Being able to see exposed copper in the flex of the iron adds a dash of excitement, that ironing my shirts would otherwise lack.

Walked up to Chatsworth market and bought some German cheese with flowers on it and some Baron Bigod, that stank the bus out taking it home.

Actually the Austrians seem to have made the Fifth Element sleep pods a reality
November 8, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Genuinely think that there should be these sleep regulator pods if you have to travel more than a couple of hours
November 8, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Tonight my husband has selected the Fifth Element from his burgeoning DVD collection.

I’m impressed with how well a bag of washed and ready to eat watercress has colonised the pond we dug at the community garden.

Oldest selfie on your phone: this was on our honeymoon in 2016, camping in Norway (which was amazing, far nicer than Iceland).

Still my WhatsApp photo which I should probably update.

Went out and touched acer.

Has @heresy.bsky.social got a job as a movie star? Or is this someone else?
October 31, 2025 at 10:00 PM
Changed the battery in the shop’s beckoning cat to summon more customers and maximise our quarterly earnings.

What the hell is this? The Americans are attacking Ještěd, the coolest mountain in the whole of North Bohemia?

I’ve got family in Liberec, hope they’re OK!

Does it have to do with Katsura Imperial Villa? (The best building in the world.)
October 26, 2025 at 7:08 PM
Washing the car so it makes a good impression at its MOT tomorrow.

Putting the Towering Inferno on a a comfort watch. My favourite film as a child.

Although it makes being an architect look a lot more dramatic than is actually the case.
October 24, 2025 at 8:59 PM
Really interesting how people relate to symbols.

Like being really upset about the Sycamore Gap tree getting the chop, when that whole landscape should be forested.

Or the 1942 White House east wing getting munched, when… all the rest of it is happening.

Notable that Plaid Cymru's resounding victory in Caerphilly (the green bit in the south) shows that they can now win in areas where not that many people speak Welsh.

One of the hardest parts of healthy eating is eating early enough to have a short ‘eating window’.

For instance even if I get my steamed chocolate sponge clattering away at 6pm, it won’t be ready until about 8.
October 23, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Lots of bits left over after popping the pedals on and pointing the handlebars forwards on my new bike.

I wonder what they’re for.
October 23, 2025 at 2:16 PM
Incredible that the fake architect behind this hideous lump gets a platform to push his ghost-written book about ‘beauty’.

He’s a massive posho though and that’s how Britain works.
October 20, 2025 at 10:26 AM
I actually went for wholemeal with these scones. Healthy eating is so important, isnt it.
