It pains me to say it, but remember the people with “oh I don’t watch TV” as a personality. I think we have to bring those guys back
looking back, AOL had it right. 30 hours of internet per month was the right amount.

There's certainly a lot to do right now, but if you need rest and potato time, make sure to rest and be a potato. Make sure to eat, hydrate, and also make time for joy and offline activities. Do not burn yourself out faster than the world is already pushing you.

it's a shame that we can't just open up our insides like a computer and clean it out with a can of compressed air, i think that would be nice

I have many regrets about Earth, but making humans in a wide range of colors, shapes, and temperaments is not one of them.
Celebrate thy diversity.
Love each other.

taking the opportunity to remind people that posting is not activism and now is as good a time as any to reflect on what material good you've actually done to help people in need. if you feel targeted by this, good. do something about it. change why you feel like you haven't done enough.

For all of those who are like me and feeling physically and emotionally drained from all these terrible events happening please don’t give up.

Now more than ever we need to use our feelings of anger and frustration to motivate us to strengthen our communities.

Little gestures go a long way.

With the intention of validation rather than doomerism:

This is all really happening.
It is as bad as you think.
You’re not crazy.
But you’re also not alone.

We’ll get through this together somehow, but the country will likely look very different.

If you're feeling despair it's because you have a moral compass. It means you're not empty on the inside - that you nurse hope and a sense of justice in a cage next to your heart. You're one of my people and I'll stand with you. There are more of us than they want you to believe. Hold fast.

Tiktok poured tons of time money and energy into trying to appease lawmakers, but still is facing a ban because of the company’s ties to China.

not sure how elected officials didn’t see this coming… Chinese Tiktok clones are now at the top of the app stores, with none of that work or history
