Cattle Egret thinking about leaving it’s roost at Powderham. Counted about 45 cattle egret there at 8:30 today but I expect there were more. Bullfinch in a hedge close by. Long billed Dowitcher still at Turf Locks. #DevonBirds

Had to go to Bournemouth on Friday so took the chance to visit RSPB Arne yesterday. Siskin and White-tailed Eagle - fairly easy to tell which is which! #UKBirds

I only saw one Treecreeper at Dunsford. No problem with their song as I can no longer hear those high frequencies! #DevonBirds

Birds on Exe yesterday between cycle bridge & Exminster Marshes viewing platform. Great Northern, Kingfisher, Sparrowhawk and a Pipit which I believe is either Rock or Water Pipit. Too distant for my skills, photos too blurred, no scope. It seemed very pale so i lean toward Water pipit. #Devonbirds

Another Cattle Egret meeting bull at Eastdon, Goldcrest on Cockwood Marsh and Firecrest at a Shutterton Lane. Also Green Sandpiper over Cockwood was a surprise (no picture). Might have landed on Cockwood Marsh. #DevonBirds
