Petitions don't tend to do a whole lot in UK politics, unfortunately.
However, one as recently set up as this now hurtling towards 2 million signatures, likely making it one the most popular petitions in UK government history, should at least scare some away from supporting this nonsense.

This petition gained a million signatures yesterday. If we can keep up that growth it will terrify people at the Labour conference.

Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards
We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

Got Through on my phone put in my payment info got to the point to pay then the site shat itself and got kicked back to the start of the queue. Thank you secret lair. Thank god I kept the queue open on my laptop I just want non foil characters :(
