I feel this deeply as a games composer too! It's fun to learn new things but hard to pull myself away from a keyboard or guitar to read about how to market myself. They should teach marketing in like, junior high haha.

Do you accept dubious facts about platypuses?

Platypuses can use electroreception to detect the electricity created by muscles moving, using sensors in their bills.

This means an 80s aerobics workout would not be a good way for them to get fit, as it would be sensory overload for them.

This looks awesome! You could release a deluxe version with a blanket and a nice cup of coffee or tea and it would sell loads.

This looks like a joy to play, and I love the idea of a platformer/adventure with classes. It kind of reminds me of the Dragon Slayer series on the NES (Xanadu, Legacy of the Wizard). Definitely enjoying watching your progress!

I am so excited about this game! It has those cool old Sega vibes that made me countdown to Jet Set (Grind) Radio back in the day, and that drive me to finish Like a Dragon substories now. It's weird and crazy and frankly necessary in these trying times. Great job everyone!

Not a game journalist myself, but I just wanted to say thanks for adding to the general kindness and creative friendship that Bluesky seems to have in spades.

So nice to read social media posts where kind people are being kind to others, and offering guidance and stuff.

Beautiful--I can tell it's a game but it _feels_ real at the same time. I can hear the music that would accompany the drone footage!

Woohoo!

This is an insane amount of detail--I mean the creature has like, skin rolls. Amazing.

Oh same! More that I'm not sure my CD burners still work, haha

Awesome! Time to lug it out of the basement. Do you use a GD-ROM Replacement at all? Been thinking i should get one.

Honestly, I may use this as meditation tomorrow morning. There's something experiential about it even this form.

I'm guessing the next update is going to be raytraced, 4K resolution at 60 FPS, Dolby Atmos?

Jk.

I'll still follow you to see what it actually is!

Wow, I didn't know that Godot could do 3D like this!

I can hear stalactites dripping from here.
September 11, 2025 at 2:39 PM
...does it feature a super old person who dislikes technology?

I would play that.

Or a game about a "terrible lizard" who is terrible at like, math.

The wrinkles in the bedspread are such a nice touch. Makes everything feel lived in!

That's some top choice self-help advice if flipped the other way. Imagine waking up and having the mindset of "Every door is a different kind of treasure chest".

I appreciate this concept as a sound designer--taking a look!
