I guess Senate Democrats saw all those Republicans getting screamed at in town halls and felt left out.

Call your senators and let them know if they join Schumer here you will never give them another dime or another vote and you’ll devote your time and money to anyone who primaries them.
If the Senate Democrats do this, yes, it’s a massive betrayal of their base and an unconscionable abdication of their duty.
