No problem with them all getting minutes and rotation - but that process should in itself prompt each player to feel the need to make the most of those minutes in order to get the nod for the big games.

Listened to the game on 5Live: dreadful experience. I’m a firm supporter of Howe but he’s had a lot of time to address these ‘zombie’ performances we keep delivering and we simply find new ways of fucking it up. Squad depth doesn’t seem to have created competition for places which is worrying #nufc

I was thinking the same thing. They all need to be given a refresher course on the tricks of killing a game off too. Head for the corner flag, bouts of cramp, keeper goes down with a knock, etc

I think he might have saved one of them on another day. I’ll reserve judgement until he’s had fair number of games though.

Rotation hasn’t been Howe’s strong point to date but we have to use the squad depth we now have: that’s the key imho to maintaining that bit of intensity for longer that’s critical to our game.
