being able to control sandwiches on such a granular level (insane sequence of words out of context) was pretty broken, but i feel like donuts go so far in the opposite direction that they might as well not have side effects beyond your time limit in hyperspace

i think the donuts/hyperspace spawn mechanics are the first miss from za for me. having the pokemon available and your means of manipulating encounters/valuable items be random just makes things grindy instead of exciting.

there's plot-relevant stuff happening from the 1950s up to the late 2030s/early 2040s at this point, chiefly because i have a disease called "flesh out the life's story of anyone who has ever interacted with a single member of this family"
