At tonight’s Council meeting, I proposed a motion opposing the UK and Irish Governments' flawed plan to engage with paramilitary groups.

🔹 No more control over our community
🔹 No more crime and intimidation
🔹 No more legitimacy given to these groups

Very sad to hear of Michael Longley’s passing. We are blessed with many great poets in Ireland and he is one of the greatest.

I managed to meet him just the once and he came across very warm and friendly.

Many great poems but I feel this one has been with me my whole adult life.

Pleased to sit on a panel at the Belfast City Centre Regeneration and Investment Strategy summit today to discuss the 10 year stocktake. I spoke about city centre living, connectivity, unlocking stalled regeneration schemes and city centre management.
