In today's news from the upside down, students who protest against genocide get doxxed, harassed, kicked out of programmes, dorms and universities, while the people who carried out the genocide get given platforms to talk about their so-called harrowing experiences and some "light refreshments".

I was today years old when I found out this was a real sentence in a real book: "I felt the need to explain the lightness of my skin tone, as it often acts as a barrier to people understanding that, despite my appearance, I am indigenous to the Land of Israel"

Both Italy and Spain are sending ships on support & rescue missions for the Sumud Flotilla. Ambiguity about what will happen if the flotilla is attacked. Will the Sp&It ships sit back and only intervene if necessary to carry out a rescue? Or will they neutralise threats? BIIIIIG difference.

I find it interesting that all the 'peace' plans being touted involve demilitarising & disbanding Hamas. And yet even when world leaders explicitly cite Netanyahu as a violent obstacle to peace, not one of them suggests the necessity of his political exile.

Palestinians in Israel have every right to be wary of the UN, but overall it would be great if people stopped claiming that the problem in Israel is one of 'leadership'. /1

Rather than leading with something like "Farage plans to deport your friends, neighbours, parents and partners" this is what we get. The media as handmaidens for national socialism.

As Wes Streeting chooses this moment to make his leadership credentials public on the backs of people he's only been too happy to otherwise throw under the bus, I'm recalling with particular ferocity what Dawn Foster thought he was... www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

While it's been stunning to see legacy media finally calling it a genocide, those Palestinians who have been calling it such for 20 months were routinely ignored, hounded and if they lived in Gaza, murdered. Edward Said wrote about this in 1984. Nothing has changed - www.lrb.co.uk/.../edward-s...

Being Jewish doesn't provide a special platform to speak out on Palestine, but images like these from the Israeli consulate in NYC today, or the 600 anti-genocide Jews at the UK FCDO yesterday, increasingly delegitimise Zionist Jewish organisations' insistence that being anti-genocide is antisemitic

Hazarika blocked me on the other place when I called out her gross philosemitism. Interesting that mass starvation seems to be the line that these liberal apologists for genocide will not cross.

Israeli genocide-deniers will tell you that the majority of those murdered in Gaza are Hamas fighters, and then in the same breath tell you that Hamas fighters are coordinated and numerous enough to have been stealing all the aid from the over 400 aid points that existed in Gaza prior to May 2025.
