US #parvovirus B19 cases spike, with infections noted in pregnant women, kids with sickle cell disease

The rise in community transmission is likely due to decreased spread during the COVID-19 pandemic, leading more people to be vulnerable to B19.

A new paper has dropped looking at acute Covid-19 outcomes from Sep 2023-Apr 2024 by age for all England.

Except for deaths, babies under 6 mths old have HIGHEST risk of A&E, admission & SEVERE hospital admission across ALL ages 1/10
