As #COP30 kicks off in Belém’s heat and downpours, the world must #CloseTheGap on climate action - more mitigation, adaptation and finance

We also need a Nature Package to safeguard forests and biodiversity - because the Amazon COP should deliver for people and planet.

The village of Blatten in Switzerland is partly buried by the collapse of a glacier which melted because our greenhouse gas emissions warmed the climate.

Another reminder that choosing to not invest enough today to reduce emissions means far greater costs for society in the long term.

Solar energy has consistently been underestimated.

Today, it adds more capacity/yr to global grid than any other source in history.

If trend continues, solar will deliver more electricity generation/yr than any technology before it.
