Well fascist Russia is actually incredibly fragile already, and if EU members and other democracies closed sanctions loopholes + stopped importing its fossil fuels, it wouldn’t have the $$ to keep brutalizing our ally Ukraine.
Fascist Russia is much more fragile than its cowardly apologists admit - its epic war losses are accelerating a demographic death-spiral and economic collapse.👇 So it’s incredibly important that 🇨🇦 + allies seize the moment to better help 🇺🇦 by tightening sanctions and hastening Moscow’s defeat.
“This is a serious enough slowdown that we’ve already been noticing it for the last 6 mths. Even military-industrial complex is beginning to slow down, partially because of the rates but also lack of labor, lack of ability to invest.” @eribakova.bsky.social via @financialtimes.com: on.ft.com/4muEgKU

I think we have reached peak oil 🛢 or will very shortly.

Time for Alberta to cleanup derelict oil and gas wells. Or will Premier Smith expect Canadian taxpayers to pay the bill?
