This podcast episode on making the transition from incarcerated fire fighter to professional fire fighter lives rent free in my mind. In a week like this one, I’m increasingly reminded that we need to pull ever lever we can to manage the impacts of climate change.

Here is one guiding principle that I think everyone can take to heart: focus on how to use the everyday choices in your life to exert the most leverage on our interconnected energy, economic, and political systems and, hopefully, nudge things toward decarbonization just a little bit faster.

This needs to be edited to “fulfilled a lot of campaign promises that bankrupted the economy and then bankrupted the planet” bc none of these policies will be making money for shareholders. Double digit tariffs are a one way ticket to economic recession and /or depression.
