Tomorrow, October 8 is National Walk and Roll to School Day.

Bring your kid on foot or by bike.

If you don't have kids, take a walk by your school, join the fun, and make sure drivers are being safe.

If you are a driver, just stay away from the schools, okay?

Barbara Lee got to spend many years in DC being beloved and legendary, insulated from the rough and tumble of local politics.

Now she is mayor of Oakland and will be subject to it like never before. Here's the opening salvo.

Dr. Susan Kegeles, emeritus professor from UCSF, is "not having it" after a counter-protestor zapped a stun gun at her during the #TeslaTakedown protest in Berkeley. Closer inspection of the photo evidence shows who the counter-protester really was.

The program provided 56 e-bikes to low-income residents in 2023, and trained youth interns at Waterside bike shop to maintain them. The results...

When a cyclist is killed on the streets, a white-painted bike — a ghost bike— serves as a memorial and reminder. Is there an equivalent for a pedestrian?

The e-bike you’ve been waiting for has arrived. Mod Bikes.

The bike path to the North Berkeley BART station is almost done. Very wide!

Up next (I hope) is City improvements to the Ohlone Greenway toward the north, through Cedar Rose Park to Gilman.

It’s all about beef.

Don’t sweat the details when you think about the carbon footprint of your diet. Just don’t eat beef.
