I remember seeing him in an interview shortly after that trip and being shocked at how he'd transformed from old school GOPer to an obnoxious, combative MAGA-type. He wasn't very good at it then. He's better at it now. Definitely throwing some Sen. Pat Geary/Godfather II kind of vibes even then.

Yes. Even if you think your Senator(s) will cave. This nomination is Trump testing his power over the GOP. The more Senators that vote against it, the less confident he'll feel about pushing his agenda and the slower it will go.

Don't make excuses. Make them uncomfortable.
