Arsenal | Atalanta | rational football debate

Half Islington (Clerkenwell), half Bergamasch
I think most sensible people would agree

But the same people would also say, a club should be better run to anticipate and mitigate such risks with how it constructs its squad

- likelihood is Jesus/ Trossard won’t still be at the club next season
- similarities to what we have is actually good ! We need a fit for our style
- Cunha is good & there aren’t many such options we can realistically get this window
- the club know we’re still 1 short anyway

Marmoush, Cherkhi, David, Gyokeres, Omorodion, Sesko

These are all in the realms of, if the price is right, deals that could be done in Jan

Doubts over all in terms of their ability to hit the ground running. And that’s our challenge - we need a here and now player

I am convinced he’s one of those players that gets to a club next like Milan, Inter, Villa, Dortmund, Leverkusen for reasonable fees… potentially has a Thuram breakout and then sees value double in less than a year

a calculated, intelligent asset investment for someone

Glad to hear Scott. Best wishes for the road ahead

Great piece as ever Pedro

have to keep reminding myself
- we’re 2-3 disgraceful ref decisions from being only 2 points off LFC
- a couple of unfortunate events last season from winning
- the best team in CY24
- An amazing squad short of just a couple

Here’s to overcoming fine margins in 25

Remind me when it’s here mate 👍

A lot of people look down on him … but I have a sort of feeling that he could be another Marcus Thurman type. Can see him initially moving to somewhere in Serie A or perhaps Bundesliga

Great pod gents

The tactical analysis on the differences between us and Liverpool were great @clivepafc.bsky.social - so clearly articulated

Liverpool’s form is the conditioning agent. It’s causing our judgment or perception of our own form / results to be warped.

When we consider the impact of injuries & unjust ref decisions on us this season, it’s remarkable how well we have done so far.
