How can people with such power be such fuckwits?

@gunnerblog.bsky.social saying Danny Ings would have certainly come on for us if he were on our bench really hit me hard

Hit hard, Like the vibes of waking up to the first day back at work after a long break

Massive games coming up

Liverpool have Villa and City

I’m really pinning a lot of hopes on a big swing in the next 7 days

If Liverpool get maximum points from those 2 fixtures, then begrudgingly, you have to say fair play to them

Did you realised that Your VAR stadium announcement impressions were also great impressions of Bane from Batman?

Maybe that’s it. PGMOL is a Gotham crime syndicate, with Michael “Bane” Oliver determined to oppress Gooners

What’s happened this season feels like the pinnacle of bad luck & injustice combined

I feel incredibly sad & frustrated -being so close yet denied by such factors is galling

That said, the recruitment - that is in the club’s control & again, is found wanting. Too often we leave ourselves short

Cunha

I see lots of people immediately flipping to the view that it’s not a good signing if it either blocks a move in the summer and/or he’s too similar to Jesus / Trossard

Now listen …

Thomas Partey MOTM

A lot to unpick from that match
- left hand side first half issues, 2nd half solutions
- Nwaneri & Ode RHS combination delight
- Saliba, Timber, Gabriel masterclass (again)

Points when you’re under pressure & missing many key players? = CHARACTER on top of quality

Brentford best home record in the league , under the lights, shit weather and our two main goal scorers missing

😨

Need a strong battling performance tonight

Very interesting vlog from Goldbridge on Utd

this sort of commentary speaks more to media control of narrative in a general sense, not just Utd

The likes of Neville get so “close” to certain individuals & bodies that their commentary loses a great deal of objectivity

Potential “realistic” Jan signing? Omar Marmoush

13 goals in 15 so far, 10 last season. 7 assists this season improving on 5 last

Shooting accuracy only 50%, however combined goals & assists per 90 have more than doubled

He’s shooting a LOT more: 64 taken this season; compared to 70 all of last
December 31, 2024 at 8:06 AM
Potential “realistic” Jan signing? Santiago Gimenez

More of a focal point than David, Gimenez is another showing signs of YoY development

• increase in goals per 90 from 0.81 in 23/24 to 0.92 this season
• shooting accuracy improved from 53% to 60%

6 goals in 9, on top of 23 in 32 last season

Potential “realistic” Jan signing? Jonathan David

surprised to see the improvement in him

• 23/24, averaged 0.63 goals per game. This season, he’s improved to 0.73 goals per game
• shooting accuracy has improved from 61% in last season to 77%

11 goals in 15 games, building on 24 last term

West Ham are genuinely the worst side I’ve seen this season

And that’s before is saying something when you consider the likes of Southampton, Leicester, Spurs…
December 29, 2024 at 5:57 PM
West Ham are awful

We should go all in for Kudus in January and save him from the East London mess
December 29, 2024 at 5:50 PM
Leicester have done well today. But for passing up 2-3 golden chances in the 2nd half, they could have taken something today

Special mention for Stephen Mavididi. Really good showing. Good dribbling, always looking to attack the box, some nice passes and crosses.
