It's so cool to see David Lynch being celebrated. I know he got his flowers when he was alive, but there simply isn't a garden big enough. RIP to the only dude to make smoking look cool. A true legend. An artist in every sense of the word. A master of his craft. An original. David Lynch.

I missed some this year. Mostly not my fault. Notably Nickle Boys, The Brutalist, September 5, Red Rooms, and more. But damnit I think we survived until '25. Box office ups and downs. It was a good year for cinema nonetheless. Let's have another.

I'm upset that Poor Things, Zone of Interest, and American Fiction have yet to have showings anywhere in my area. But I'm pretty happy with all the things I saw in 2023. Really stacked year. Here's my favorite new films that came out that I did get to see.
