I should have written +1.5°C (+2.7°F) for the annual anomaly relative to pre-industrial that we just passed and +1.75°C (+3.15°F) for the January T anomaly we just experienced, but to be honest, I was a bit gobsmacked by that January value. 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋
It was hoped that La Niña conditions would provide some cooling after the 🌍 passed the +1.5F for the first time in annual average. We’ve not passed the 30-yr climate average threshold of 1.5F yet. But despite La Niña, the globe warmed to 1.75F this past Jan. This is a #ClimateCrisis 🧪🔌💡☀️💨🔋
