It's much easier to talk about expeditions along the bank of Flame River than what I'm fishing for in it. The pots are nice keepsakes, but only momentos

Yes. When I load and fire, I like to think of the pots as cobbles, rocks and boulders around which a river of flame flows. If the ware pack is set right--looser on the floor, getting tighter climbing toward the arch--there will be eddies and whirlpools, waves, violent rapids, and placid pools

At best, that's an ow--⅔ of an owl

Have a good trip south!

That's a nice buck. I've been waking to the sound of gunshots at dawn the past week. I took the protective netting off the front veg garden beds. The first night, the deer broused the remaining peppers. The next night, they ate all the leaves from the eggplants. Can't imagine they liked them!

Oh, this was the rocky part. You might be surprised by Maine's Midcoast--a lot of sand on its beaches. (The ones here in Phippsburg--Head, Popham, Seawall, etc--often have shifting sands that stretch for miles before hitting rocky outcrops.) Downeast things change to granite--a lot less beachy! 😉

I won't miss the way Darth Vader would spout the most outrageous things in the most reasonable, avuncular tone of voice. A man with very little heart, both literally and figuratively

Wow!

Just an excuse for a long walk in old woods. Olive oysterling is ... okay, culinarily. It's the very last of the late season fruiters around here. If I had to describe the way it tastes, I'd say it's rather bland, with a hint of burning leaves and wistfulness

Yeah, the switch takes some getting used to. Pros: No algo, no ads, no being fascist adjacent. Cons: Less reach, character limit, photie limit. (But the last two could be a benefit, as in, forced to be pithy and to take better snaps)

Ayuh, regards to NH!

Symmetrical wood stacking . . . definitely a human activity 😉
