Last week, the WA State Dairy Federation led a tour of Werkhoven Dairy & the Qualco Digester - showcasing an older digester that highlights the kind of climate-smart tech expanding statewide thanks to Climate Commitment Act-funded @wastatecommerce.bsky.social grants. 🐄⚡

A big win for climate innovation and clean infrastructure!

@modernhydrogen.com is turning captured carbon into stronger, more heat-resistant asphalt that stores emissions instead of releasing them. Soon their team will bike on the same trail infrastructure they’re helping decarbonize. ♻️🚴‍♂️

In August 2023, the Gray Fire (Medical Lake) and Oregon Road Fire (Elk) burned 20,000+ acres, destroyed 700+ homes, and caused $166M in damages - the worst wildfire disaster in Washington’s history.

Exciting news for SAF production: SkyNRG is one important step closer to realizing their first-of-its-kind facility in Eastern WA!

Once online in 2029, the facility can produce 50M gallons of clean fuel/year. It will create 600 construction jobs and approximately 100 jobs for ongoing operations.

ZEV momentum in CA is thriving!

Nearly 1 in 4 new trucks, buses, and vans sold in CA are zero-emission—putting the state 2 years ahead of schedule. This is more than double the minimum requirement for 2024 and marks the highest total of ZEV sales ever reported.

ZEVergreen is charged up and ready to go! While the federal government may be idling, Washington is accelerating toward cleaner, more affordable transportation by exploring ways to lower barriers and expand zero-emission vehicle access.

On Tuesday we attended the opening of Sila’s new manufacturing facility in Moses Lake!

On our 2022 Study Mission 2.0 to CA, we met with Sila to hear their plans to boost battery efficiency by 50% & build a WA site. Last summer, we visited Moses Lake to see progress during Study Mission 4.0.
