Snow Day #2

I will note that pulpit from which the Bishop gave her sermon is not only the one from which Martin Luther King Jr gave his last sermon on the Sunday before he was killed, it also contains a panel of a man being martyred, paired with an exhortation for God to open the eyes of a tyrannical leader.

I knew the future was female, but I didn’t expect it to arrive so suddenly, nor by executive order.

But, cool.

Either Elon intentionally performed a Nazi salute (as both right wing extremists and historians seemingly agree is the case) or he is unaware and uncaring about the perception that he performed a Nazi salute.

Either would have been damning just a few years ago. Either is revealing now.

It has long irked my liturgical nerd heart that Advent calendars start with the first day of December, not the first day of Advent.

But this year secular and religious Advent align!

I’m probably still not getting an Advent calendar though.

My church was supposed to have an Advent festival tonight and decorate the worship space for advent and Christmas.

Power outage. Festival postponed to tomorrow.

So I guess we’ll have to wait just a little longer to get ready to wait a little longer.
