I'm not a member of the theatre company, nor did I direct this production (my official title is Scenic and Projection Designer), so I'd imagine I have much more liberty to be honest here. Bad reviews are fine, but they should review in good faith and be about the actual show

The review is a lot of "Here's what other productions do" instead of judging ours on its own merits, and the reviewer seems to have a problem with non-white non-male actors, of which are 9/10 of the cast. You want to see a bunch of white guys dryly recite Shakespeare to you? They are a dime a dozen.

It ultimately came down to the language of the bill. It had the protections and caveats I was looking for. The fact that the voters got to choose instead of the state legislature was important to me.
