Still playing clarinets & piano, owned by cats, quite often found in garden. Increasingly creaky!
I was in Kent last weekend, with family. Came back with a fly. Because why not.

Am in a waiting room. Several pairs of people talking quietly i.e. possible to hear voices but not the words. Plus one person talking near incessantly and at a level where every word is fully audible.
The person with them is replying (when they get a chance to do so) at voice-only level. GRUMP.

Home after long day of challenging rehearsal. Go to shut curtains. Clowder are attempting 'ded of starvation' impressions (yeah, they missed lunch).
Resigned voice: "OK, who 'oicked up on the windowsill?"
Response came there none.
Oh well, could have been worse, could have been on the carpet.

The Bear: "I’ve been assured, time and time again, that I am, quite obviously, overreacting - that the continuous debate that’s been raging since the early 2010s is only, and has only ever been about illegal migration."

Now it's not.
"They Will Also Need to Go Home"
A sitting Conservative MP has introduced a bill that would make lawful residents deportable for earning under £38,700 - and Britain’s political class is barely blinking.

What else do you do when it's Too Damn Hot but restore the utility of some clothing (sample herewith). Tomorrow it's convert the duvet offcuts to cat beds and see if there's enough fabric in the stash to cover them. If not it'll be up to the local charity shops...

After a weekend featuring suboptimal folding chairs I may just have over done the gardening...
I shall be over there alternating between muttered ows and dark imprecations.
You'd think I'd be old enough to know better.
Best not approached!
Cats are side-eyeing me.

My ragwort doing nicely this year.
No grazing herbivores in my garden so a ragwort or two, carefully curated, is now part of the flora each year.

So the UK Met Office is inviting people to suggest up to 5 names for storms.

And apparently lots of people have been suggesting "Storm Bigoil", along with BP, Equinor, Exxon & Shell...

This is obviously appalling & definitely not to be emulated via this link: www.metoffice.gov.uk/forms/name-o...

The trellis behind the winter jasmine finally gave up the ghost. In the process of removing it Present Me has had a lot to say about Past Me's plant propping choices. Basically Orl Rong! Winter jasmine (remains) now only about 6ins to a foot...

I know I've only just updated #ProofOfCat, but a year ago this sun puddle basker was a scratched, dirty, extremely nervous stray.
He's still extremely untrusting of other people, but...

How could I not sign up for something advertised like this... "We will be emulating the now long extinct wild herbivores, aurochs and tarpan [...] and will be clearing vegetation [...]. Unlike the aurochs and tarpan we will be using rakes, pitchforks and loppers, rather than eating the vegetation!"

Reskeet if you've ever:
- self-harmed
- attempted suicide
- been to a therapist
- cancelled on things because you don't have the energy to live
- lied about being okay
- had a panic attack in a public bathroom

the world needs to know how common these things are.

Hmm. I guess I need to poke around a bit more. In the meantime, have some cinnabar moth caterpillars.
