I was on this fun panel y'day, about what #philanthropy even is, how to do it (the strategy, the tech, finding & assessing causes & orgs - plus a load of Aristotle!)

Even long-term philanthro-nerds will learn some stuff from this!

It's not about fundraising & not for fundraisers (eg., evidence about who's giving to what).

It's a little experiment - with @clarewoodcraft.bsky.social, and peer-learning & upskilling. If interested, please message me - and say where you are located, for logistics reasons. Thanks.

Seriously. A one-hour Party Political Broadcast. Followed at the top of the next hour with top story billing and a highlights package.

Exactly how will this be "balanced" across their coverage?

Where is Ofcom? Where is Nandy?
For 56 minutes Sky News and BBC News interrupted everything else and carried a Reform UK feed live, uninterrupted, unchallenged. The stream spluttered, froze, pixelated - dozens of times - still they stuck with it. FOR ONE HOUR.

This is an editorial choice. No other party gets this coverage. ~AA

Palestinians are starving to death in Gaza.

The RAF conducted some aid drops into Gaza under the Conservative government, but these drops have seemingly stopped altogether under Labour.

What is stopping Keir Starmer from authorising more aid drops into Gaza?

Thinking about the shift at a political level - it must be mostly to do with the fear of being found complicit in war crimes. Because the public scrutiny on this isn’t going away anytime soon.
Went to lunch two days ago at a local steakhouse. Got chatting to the waiter. Where are you from, he asked. Born in the U.K., parents Ugandan, I said. You? Palestine, he said. Ah man, I replied. We talked about the recent shift in people’s thinking. It’s useless, he said tearfully. It’s too late.

Israel and the US are AWOL on all law & morality and must be stopped. No ifs or buts or hiding heads in the sand from it.

We need to face it head on. Write to your MP.
