They did not appreciate me asking them if there was tax fraud on the metro lol

235,000 Wisconsinites will have higher health care premiums if Republicans let ACA tax credits expire.

Coupled with their crippling cuts to BadgerCare, the entire Wisconsin GOP delegation have put the health care of their own constituents on the chopping block.

It was only one Dem in the house. Personally as a staff member it gets really frustrating seeing all the “Dem leadership has totally failed” thing when it’s always just that one guy, who we need him to keep his seat by being ultra bipartisan
September 19, 2025 at 3:24 PM
I mean yeah, Trump essentially already shut down the government via DOGE.

Plus he rescinds or freezes funds that were passed by Congress anyway.

Don’t see the point in giving them bipartisan cover

So watch the senate votes later today

House bill would fund government through Nov 20, and then we go through this all over again.

It’s a continuing resolution, so just maintaining current spending levels, not funding anything

BUT still needs to go to Senate, where it needs 60 votes. Will see if Dem Senators help them get it

you’d prefer we don’t talk about it?
September 15, 2025 at 7:15 PM
Good news is we’ll have 218 signatures once the late Rep Grijalvas seat is filled in a few days! His daughter, also a Dem, set to win that seat and come to DC straightaway to be sworn in

A politician with a large following informing their constituents of a public health risk is somehow problematic now?

I fear this post went over a few heads in our attempt at slight humor. The Congresswoman knows he is a liar

I fear this post went over a few heads. We meant to joke (in a serious way) about Senator Scott hypocrisy

Members of the House can’t touch the senate bill. I don’t get all the “filibuster” (again, it’s a reconciliation bill) comments. I get it!!! We’re all looking for *something*

But yeah sorry there really isn’t anything Dems can do to block it.

Let’s talk elections.
June 29, 2025 at 2:00 AM
The staff that work on Capitol Hill and the staff that work for the campaigns are largely, legally, not the same!!

I feel massive anger and anxiety daily when I don’t feel like we/me/Dems are doing enough. Which then involves a forced water break from my desk.
June 29, 2025 at 1:58 AM
You can have a member of Congress who votes the way you want them to on literally everything, and it won’t make a difference if they don’t have the majority.

There are staff quitting and having mental health crises left and right because they can’t help.
June 29, 2025 at 1:56 AM
They have tried a lot of things.

I do have Google. And multiple degrees that aid my knowledge of the process.

Fair arguments that I agree with about how Dems ran the ‘24 campaigns. I have taken great issue with it.
June 29, 2025 at 1:51 AM
And they’re supposed to do what??? They have no control over anything. Fair argument Dems should have done things different in elections but now reality now is there is nothing they can do in the legislative processs besides holding it up
