We sold all our tech stock (bought long before generative AI was around) to replace our oil furnace with a heat pump last week, and it felt like living into the future we hope for.

Or is it the New York Times which is less significant than they think?

My kid learned on one, and it meant that by the time she was 4 and a half years old she was confidently pedal biking herself to and from school over a mile away up a big hill!

I know there are lots of people who just don't own cars, or have EVs or whatever, but this is just us trying to make living a little closer to our values a little more fun. Our community makerspace has a vinyl cutter so making the leaves was not difficult, and auto-quality vinyl is pretty cheap!

It's available on DVD! Both seasons are out, and you can probably get it from your local library! Or probably eBay. It's the best television I've ever seen.

Totally fair! I think the fact that UMN has 56,000 students and no where near that number of parking spots is effecting my own sample size! :)

Although, I realize grad students/faculty are a particular demographic. :)

I'm curious who you were asking about "most people not taking transit" when I attended UMN for grad school nearly everyone I knew did at least some public transit, I think the most common thing I hear was something like, "most weeks I only use my car for grocery shopping."
