The world is too damn serious
Why do underpaid teachers and copious amounts of Diet Coke go hand in hand so often?

The worst part of this movie was when he said “It’s tariff time” and then tariffed all over the place. I just didn't get how it flowed into the broader story

Sure, many cable channels are zombies now (running only reruns of a couple shows most of the time), but sometimes they’re rerunning something good. Comedy Central being almost 24/7 Office/P&R is greatly appreciated

For those curious, the fact that 2024 was the first year where global temps exceeded 1.5 C above pre industrial averages doesn’t mean the Paris Accord has failed. The agreement only cares about long term averages, not individual years.

Just putting this out there to clear things up

Is there an updated version of this website? I’m curious as to which of these sites have adopted HTTPS and which haven’t

No free four year college? I can understand that. That would cost a lot of money?

But no free two year college? There’s no finance argument there. That’s just stupid!

If I had to describe Bluesky in one sentence it would be “Imagine Threads but alive”. This place has those exact vibes except more genuine and less baity

Google Bard scares me because unlike ChatGPT or Copilot, it doesn’t provide sources for anything. It makes no sense either because Google Search’s AI Overview provides sources

We will never get to meet aliens. Not just because we will never reach them, but also because they will likely never reach us. Space is gigantic, so much so that even if we traveled at the speed of light, it would take over 4 years to reach the star closest to us. Aliens face these same problems
