It didn’t perform well at the box office, but it’s very well made. It does a good job highlighting the socio-economic struggles, lack of political representation, the financial slump and the squalid conditions working class people including soldiers returning the Napoleonic Wars faced at the time.

Showing the courage of ordinary people, the brutality of the ruling class, and the stakes of fighting for justice. Peterloo is a reminder: democracy and workers’ rights were never handed freely, they were fought for.

Essential viewing for radicals and an interesting part of working class history!

When they say that socialism "doesn't work because people are selfish" I always ask them what happens when working class people are collectively selfish.

As a selfish working class person, I don't give a shit about "creating shareholder value" when I don't own the shares!
